Polychoron is an Intriguing, Retro Shooter That’s Out Now

FPS games nowadays all seem to be grit and stubble and angry soldiers. If you like that, well that’s fine. But if you’re looking for something a little different, then we reckon Polychoron is well worth checking out.

It’s a zero-G shooter that sees you hovering through levels, blasting drones and trying to get the highest score. Because you’re not attached to the ground, there’s scope for some pretty fresh-feeling blasting here.

You’re going to have to be on your toes as well, since your drone-y foes can come at you from any angle. The controls do take a bit of getting used to, but once things click it’s pretty darn slick.

The game is in early access, so there are likely to be problems and niggles that you’re going to stumble across. But it’s also completely free, which sort of balances that out, right?

If you’d like to give the game a go, you can click here to grab Polychoron from the Play Store right this second. We reckon this one is well worth checking out, especially if you’re looking for a shooter that does things differently.

And we’ll finish things off with a quote from the developer, because it made us smile. Polychoron is a game that’s “suitable for busy adults.” So if you’re one of those, go nuts.
